NM-ICPS-Scope
The Mission aims at development of technology platforms to carry out R&D, Translational Research, Product Development, Incubating & Supporting Start-ups as well as Commercialization. The Mission is working with all the concerned Ministries/ Departments to identify their technology needs, develop solutions and technical support.
The Mission is being implemented with all the TIHs undertaking activities under the following four major categories:
Under the NM-ICPS, 25 Technology Innovation Hubs (TIHs) have been established in reputed institutes across the country in the areas of advanced technologies which includes: Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning, Robotics, Cyber Security, Data Analytics & Predictive Technologies, Intelligent Collaboration Systems, Technologies for Agriculture & Water, Technologies for Mining, Advanced Communication System, Quantum Technologies etc. Each TIH is created as a Section-8 Company, an independent entity within the Host Institute, with industry as Members in co-development, partnerships and for commercialization. The Industry-Academic-Govt collaborations are the main focus of the Hubs. Each Hub is managed by a Hub Governing Board (HGB) which comprises of members from Academia, industry and Government. Technology Innovations Hubs have been established almost in all States covering the entire country. Other academic institutes are connected as SPOKES. Thus, NM-ICPS is a pan India Mission and covers all Central Ministries, State Governments, Industry and Academia.
